Voigtlander 50mm f1.2 Nokton SE Aspherical Lens for Sony E-Mount
SE series lenses are fast manual focus lenses optimized for the imaging sensors of Sony mirrorless cameras and specialized for taking still pictures using manual-focus.
The Voigtlander 50mm F1.2 SE Nokton Aspherical lens has a large aperture of F1.2, it realizes a compact size by removing the click stop switching mechanism, which is useful for video shooting.
The stylish designed full metal helicoid ring employs a simple yet precise -looking flat knurling process.
This lens enhances maneuverability by cutting grooves which is orthogonally crossed against the flat knurling in order to grip the lens without slipping.
SE lenses are manual focus and manual aperture designs, but also features electrical contacts that enable the lens settings at image capture to be included in the Exif information of the image data.

If you're trying to decide which 50 to get, this is a wonderfully pleasant all purpose lens, the rendering and colour reproduction are wonderful, tones in b&w great especially on my a7rii/iii, bokeh lovely, sharpness is on point, stopped down it's great, it handles perfectly (full manual), feels great, balances on the a7 series just right, build quality is exceptional.Price Quality Value
This lens single handedly made me fall in love with photography again and moreso, like my photos again, I am very happy with them as shot, raw, no more trying to twist them in to what I want in an editor, it's something quite special that you cannot reproduce on many other lenses.
If you mainly shoot landscape, then the 50/2 is perhaps better, if you want one for everything (including landscape), you will not regret adding this to your bag. (Posted on 10/18/2021)
