It has been our pleasure to be the official UK importer and distributor of Voigtlander products for over 10 years.During that time; We have seen the system evolve  into an extensive range covering most aspects of photography in both rangefinder, SLR and DSLR cameras.

 The basis of the Voigtlander range has always been its rangefinder cameras. The first entry into the system was the superb Bessa L: this compact screw mount body had no viewfinder and was designed to use the  two lenses that were available : the 15mm Heliar and the 25mm Colour Skopar.

 Since then we have seen the bodies and lenses change and improve in both build  and features.

Voigtlander now offer a range of 35mm film Bessa Rangefinder cameras comprising of the R2a, R2m, R3a, R3m, R4a and R4m. Based on an  identical body : the  A models are electronically controlled: offering aperture priority metering and the M models being totally mechanical except for a small battery to run a manual meter; and  in  three viewfinder magnifications  (R2, R3 and R4) each model being suitable for a different range of focal length lenses.

 To complement their rangefinder camera bodies : Voigtlander  produce a range of VM  fitting rangefinder lenses, suitable for their camera bodies and Leica M bodies, including  12mm, 15mm, 21mm, 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm and 90mm lenses.

In addition, they  make a range of SLR / DSLR lenses in Nikon or Canon fitting. This range comprises of a set of very compact lenses in the focal lengths of 20mm, 40mm, 58mm (Nikon only), 75mm and 90mm; and with  the Micro Four Thirds format  now a massive part of the photographic market; Voigtlander have responded  with , what we hope is the First in a new range of MFT lenses: a superb 25mm f0.95. This lens works perfectly on  MFT cameras such as the Panasonic G range and their High end video camera AF101.

Finally, Voigtlander have also expanded  their expertise in the medium format market and now produce two Bessa medium format roll film cameras, the Bessa III (standard lens) and the Bessa III W (wide lens) offering  6x7 and 6x9 formats within the same body. These are the ultimate for the traditionalists!
