The Cooke Portrait PS945, 229mm f4.5 to f90 lens is a modern reproduction of a rare and revered Pinkham & Smith hand-crafted soft focus lens, the Visual Quality Series IV. It has a quality of diffusion midway between the softness of the original Pinkham & Smith Semi-Achromat, first made in the 1890s and a conventional sharp lens - the same characteristics as the original Visual Quality lens-achieving high resolution images that when wide open bring a self luminating quality to highlights in a photo. The lens is multi coated and suitable for all modern film types. The PS945 covers 5x4"
