Sheet film is not just limited to loading your own double darkslides any more, single sheets in paper sleeves are available from Fuji and of course Polaroid instant sheet film for the 545 holder.
Apart from saving you from loading darkslides, pre loaded sheets are less prone to dust problems. In addition, Fuji Quickload film is less bulky and lighter  to carry than conventional double darkslides. For example, you can carry 20 sheets of film for the weight and bulk of only 10 in double darkslides.
