The SUMMARIT-S 35 mm F/2.5 ASPH. CS is a classical wide angle lens for the s-system with an exceptionally high optical performance. Two aspherical lenses together with special highly refractive glass with anomalous partial dispersion guarantee excellent sharpness and high contrasts even at the extreme edges of the image.
The excellent results are maintained at close range thanks to a background focussing feature. The minimum distance setting of 55 cm opens up attractive composition options, making it possible to include objects in the foreground with excellent results. The integrated focal plane shutter ensures that the Summarit-S 35 mm F/2.5 ASPH. CS performs effectively with studio flash units. The high speed, moisture protection and compact design also make it a reliable partner combined with the LEICA S2 for outdoor photography.
