Andreas Zacharatos
Born: Athens, Greece, 1961.
Living: Attika, Greece.
Work: He studied Cinema and
Television. He taught photography in 1984-85. Until 1989 he was working
in private TV studios as an operator and director of photography. From
1989-1996 he worked as director of Photography in the second state TV
channel. Now, since February 1996, he is teaching Direction of
Photography in I.E.K of eastern Attika.
Works of his have been published in many photographic magazines.
He is the vice president of the Hellenic Leica club and a member of the Rollei Club of Great Britain.
Distinctions:
- 1990 - 1st European Prize of Photography in a competition organized by the European Community's Ministries of Tourism.
- 1996 - 1st Prize in Rollei's Club International Photo Salon of Great Britain.
- 1997 - International World Heritage Photo Competition by UNESCO (107th award between 49,000 photo participants).
