LUMIX DMC GX1
Brilliant picture quality
Capture outstanding D-SLR picture quality without the burden of a big, heavy camera. The Panasonic LUMIX GX1’s 16.0-megapixel Four Thirds sensor is much larger than those found in simple point-and-shoot cameras – without compromising on the overall size of the GX1. The large sensor delivers super-high-resolution photos that you can enlarge and crop as suited. So you have more creative photography options and brilliant quality with every motif.
Sensational autofocus
The new and enhanced Autofocus function built in the GX1 is not only extremely accurate and precise, it also focuses in ultra-fast 0.09 seconds*. This ensures that you get the sharp shot you want, when it happens – never missing a moment. It is the ultimate pocket-sized companion for your busy lifestyle on the go. Even the Burst Shooting speed is an amazing 20 frames per seconds (fps), enabling you to catch the exact moment of action.
*With the H-VS014140 HD lens.
Clear low-light shooting
Let your photography skills shine – even under low-light conditions. The LUMIX GX1’s highly sensitive sensor goes beyond that of conventional cameras to offer impressive details even at up to ISO 12,800. This means that you can capture dimly lit scenes in a natural light without the need for the flash – and they appear clear and sharp, ready for sharing.
Optional Viewfinder
Add yet another professional, classic touch to your shooting style by selecting the optional Panasonic Viewfinder for your LUMIX DMC-GX1. Depending on the shooting conditions and situation, you can then choose to use the large 3-inch touch-screen LCD or the optional high-resolution tilting electronic Viewfinder – featuring an outstanding 1.44 megapixels – to compose your scene to perfection.
Wide range of top-class interchangeable lenses
Take full advantage of the LUMIX GX1’s compact build by attaching any one of the 14 high-quality LEICA and Panasonic lenses. Coveted around the world, advanced LEICA lenses are renowned for delivering clear, sharp images with every photo. The lens line-up now also includes two new high-performance Panasonic ‘X’ lenses: the LUMIX G X VARIO 14–42mm pancake zoom lens, whose cutting-edge retractable design perfectly complements the DMC-GX1, and the LUMIX G X VARIO 45–175mm lens for great shots of faraway objects. Both offer the versatility of an electronic zoom and, thanks to their advanced Nano surface coating, provide superb image quality with dramatically reduced ghosting and flaring.
LVF-2 Electronic Viewfinder
The DMC-GX1 has a large, high-resolution LCD but Panasonic made Live View Finder (DMW-LVF2) for finder-enthusiasts. The DMW-LVF2 displays the same information as the LCD when you equip the DMC-GX1 with it. It is effectively used in situations where the LCD is difficult to see, such as under bright sunlight. And it is also handy for low-angle shots because it can be tilted vertically from 0 to 90 degrees.
